Move out / cleaning instructions:

Upon moving into the rental, these items were cleaned and all items below addressed. Upon moving out, if the following cleaning and / or repairs are not done by the tenant, Properties Unlimited Realty of Sturgis will complete it at $60/hr.

Kitchen(Required)

Clean refrigerator, shelves, and crisper, under crisper and under foot guard. Also, clean behind and under the refrigerator. Leave refrigerator open after cleaning and unplug.

Clean cupboards inside and out and tops, clean under sink, exhaust fan and faucet fixtures.

Clean under burner, controls, burner rings, and drip pans, Also, under stove, oven racks and oven drawer. If the drip pans do not come clean you will need to replace them.

Clean oven. Be careful oven cleaner does not drip below onto floor.

Clean and wax floor (if waxing is needed).

Clean air conditioner, if one.

Clean all light shades, light fixtures, and globes.

Clean all cobwebs throughout the unit (check the closets).

Clean all ledges, baseboards, window sills and window tracks.

Living room and dining room(Required)

Clean all finger marks or any other marks off light switches.

Clean traverse rods or curtain rods and put back up, clean and replace any broken slats on blinds.

Wash drapes or curtains in cold water and hang back up to dry. Do not put in the dryer if applicable.

Clean window sills and tracks. Wash windows and screens. Clean and wash patio doors, if any.

Clean light shades, light fixtures, and globes.

Clean all heaters and vacuum inside them.

Vacuum all carpets.

Clean fireplace, if any.

Vacuum along baseboards and wipe down all baseboards.

Bedrooms(Required)

Bathrooms(Required)

Clean tub, toilet, toilet tank and sink. Toilet must be rust free.

Clean mirrors, chrome fixtures throughout and exhaust fan.

Clean medicine cabinet inside and out and make sure fingerprints are wiped off. Clean and wipe inside and outside of cupboards.

Clean walls in tub and shower.

Clean washer and dryer and the utility area, if one; including lint trap. Wipe down washer and dryer, if any.

Clean light shades, light fixtures and globes.

Vacuum, if carpeting. Vacuum along baseboards and wipe down all baseboards.

Sweep, mop, wax the floor.

Garage and patios (if any)

Clean patio, be sure to sweep.

Sweep garage floor. All refuse must be carried away, storage compartment cleaned and cobwebs swept.

Miscellaneous(Required)

Replace any burnt bulbs throughout unit.

All baseboard edges must be free of debris/dirt must be clean.

If carpets are not shampooed by a reputable carpet cleaning company upon move out, we will have them professionally shampooed and it will be deducted from your security deposit. You must provide a receipt of shampooing upon vacating or we will assume you did not have carpets professionally cleaned and we will have the carpets done professionally.

I further understand that all items must be done upon my exiting the unit regardless of the things which may not have been done when I moved in. The condition of the unit upon moving in should be addressed at the time of move in as indicated on the move in condition report.

If it is cold weather, please leave all heaters on 55-60 and if warm weather, please turn off all heaters. You will be held responsible for any damage to the unit if the heat is not left on during vacation in the winter months. Turn in all keys for the unit, garage, storage, security keys, and garage door opener (if applicable) when finished cleaning the unit to the office. Do not leave keys in the unit. If keys are not returned upon vacating, we will change locks and take the charge out of your security deposit.
